Nice to meet you, and welcome to my ePortfolio!
Hi, my name is Caroline L. Ocaya. I'm a student at the College of Education of the University of the Philippines Diliman taking up Bachelor of Elementary Education major in Special Education. I made this ePortfolio as one of my requirements for the course EDTECH 101 - Instructional Media Resources.
I'm a transferee from UP Manila and I used to take up Bachelor of Science in Nursing there. During my clinical and community duties in my previous college, I realized that I actually enjoyed making teaching plans and and sharing my knowledge to my patients much more than performing my nursing duties! It was well into my third year there that I belatedly realized that I needed a career change - and so here I am!
I can't say that I have a passion for teaching, but I think it's slowly growing on me. I can envision myself being a teacher in the future - maybe for young children or maybe in the university level. I'm looking through all options with an open mind with the hopes of finally finding my place in society.
In my spare time I like browsing through the Internet, reading novels, watching dramas and reality TV and playing with my adorable dogs and cats.
